Drawing with Colored Pencils
No matter your skill level, learn the basics of how to draw with colored pencils. This class will explore various techniques using regular colored pencils in conjunction with watercolor pencils. The class will cover types of mark-making, shading, texture, and how to blend and create vibrant color.

Drawing from Nature: Backyard Critters
Being able to observe and draw the animals we see right out our window, gives us insights into life that can change how we think about ourselves and our surroundings. This class is for adult students of all abilities that are looking to learn the skills of how draw the animals we encounter just outside our homes. Students will learn the basics of contour, form, perspective, value, texture and composition, while build observational and visual interpretation skill.

Watercolor Painting From 
Photos 
Using photos for reference can be a valuable tool for an artist. Photography not only captures a moment in time, but offers the capability to incorporate elements into a painting that would be impossible to do otherwise. This class will explore how to use photographic images to get a better understanding of structure, and composition possibilities when executing watercolor paintings. Students are encouraged to bring in their own photos (in focus and as large as possible), or may paint from provided photos in class.
